Chelsea Beach, is a designated area on beautiful Centre Island, just minutes from our hotel - offered to our guests on a complimentary basis*. Spend the day exploring or just lounge in the sun.
This sandy beach is located in the heart of Toronto Island. A perfect family beach, it is life guarded daily from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., including first aid available on site. Many amenities are available, including, change rooms, snack bar and bike rentals next to the beach. This beach has a Blue Flag rating - an international eco-label awarded to beaches for excellence in water quality.
A short 5-minute walk from Chelsea Beach you will find Centreville - a turn of the century themed Amusement Park! Centreville offers over 30 rides, games and attractions, two licensed restaurants and more than 14 food concessions. Come experience the Antique Dentzel Carousel, Saugreen Lumber Co. Flume Ride, Windmill Ferris Wheel, Toronto Island Monster Coaster and so much more. It is always Sunny at Centreville.
*In partnership with Toronto Tours we are pleased to provide roundtrip transportation (coach then boat) from the Hotel all summer long, at a nominal fee.
Cost (return trip): $20.00 per adult and $5.00 per child (12 and under)
Dates: Daily from June 24 - September 3, 2011.
Times: departures from the hotel lobby at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.; boat return times will be 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. from the Island (to catch 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 pm return bus to hotel)
Chelsea Beach shuttle tickets will be available to all hotel guests through the (Toronto Tours) concierge in Hotel lobby.
